Notice to all Secondary students and parents
of the European School Bergen
Just like in previous years, the Parents’ Association of the ESB will organise a second hand book market for secondary school books at the end of the school year. The system for the ordering of schoolbooks for the coming school year, which we introduced two year's ago, will remain the same.
The deputy director, the librarian and a teacher have worked together on the book list for the coming school year. The the ISBN numbers and titles have been checked. Most of the books on the list are quite easy to find either at the local book store or on the Internet.
We hereunder provide you with a list of valuable Internet sites for the different languages and wish to remind you that it is sometimes easier to get books in English, German, French or Spanish in the respective countries. Should you be planning a holiday to one of these countries it may be useful to take the book list with you.
It is also possible to buy second hand books at a reasonable price on some of the Internet sites – but keep in mind that you have to pay the postage as well and if you buy from many different vendors, this can add up to considerable amounts! TIP: It is also possible to share the cost for postage if you order together with other families.
You can also try to find the books that you will need at the second hand book market that will be organised on Monday, 29 June 2009 between 15h15 and 16h25 in the Aula. But: Please make sure to carefully check the ISBN numbers of any book you buy.
