Powerpoint Presentation - Year 2 Project
Aim:
To produce an  Educational Powerpoint Presentation
for  other students in the school

Guidelines:

  1.   The presentation can be on any topic or subject area that you have previously studied.
  2.   Look at the examples made by previous students for some ideas of what is possible.


Planning

  1. Choose a subject and research your fact thoroughly. Ask your subject teacher for help.Use the Internet.
  2. Prepare a storyboard or mindmap on paper of what each page is going to look like
  3. Write text and store pictures you are going to use.
  4. Show your planning to your teacher BEFORE you start work on Powerpoint.

Design Skills applied to the Powerpoint Project

Simple design: One thought per slide, expressed in no more than five points. The minimum of text  used - key phrases or statements only.

 Less is more: Slides with a good balance of  text, graphics and  colour.

Make it BIG: Readable font size.

Unveil an idea: Slide content designed so that it promotes learning not just passing on information. Effects used  to develop an idea.

Pictures are worth 1,000 words: Graphics chosen to enhance the message in the text.

Consistency: Formats/colours/effects kept as similar as possible in all the slides.
